Christmas Fete

Hello,

Just a quick entry to let you know Pussy Willow's Country Crafts will be at Merstham Primary School's Christmas Fete on Wednesday evening 26th November. If you're in the Redhill area pop in and say "hi" and take a look at our stall. The entrance price to the fete is I believe, only a couple of pounds and you get a free glass of mulled wine and a mince pie!

Our stall will be full of all our goodies and will have lots of lovely shaker style christmas decorations and gifts, we look forward to seeing you :-)

Just a month to go until Christmas!

Autumn Greetings!

Hello, well it's been a while since I last posted! It was still summer then and now it's getting colder and autumn is officially here.

As we reach for a jumper to keep out the chill and dig out the boots on the rainy days it's a sure sign that Christmas is not far away and it's only a little over a month to Halloween with it's pumpkins and trick and treaters. To get you in the spirit of the haunting season I've made a couple of witches to decorate your homes this autumn. I've only been able to make a few so it's first come first served so be sure to get yours early!

And for those of you thinking of chestnuts roasting on an open fire and Jack Frost nipping at your nose, take a look at my website for my latest Yuletide creations, I have lots and lots of traditional red and green with smatterings of cinnamon, orange and all things yummy and reminiscent of Christmas baking, like my cute and country gingerbread men hangies.....

...... and my pretty primitive heart hangies........

Many more lovely things to decorate your home and to give as gifts, take a look at what I have available (more to come soon!) and start making your Christmas lists early this year!

And talking of the festive season what do you think of my Christmas countdown at the top of the page, pretty isn't it? Not long to go now...... :)

Two New Hand-Painted Plaques

I have made two new heart plaques for you to look at, both are now listed for sale on my website.

Two pretty signs to add that finishing touch to you home decor or a lovely gift for someone special

They are larger than average heart plaques.

Each has been hand-painted with watercolours by myself and given a vintage aged finish. Each heart is finished with a few coats of wax to seal and give a lovely rustic feel and I've added a curly iron hanger which is just out of the picture.

Heart measures 15 1/2 cm (6") x 11 1/2 cm (4 1/2"), measurements do not include hanger

A Country Garden

Goodness doesn't time fly?

I've had my parents to stay for a couple of days and I've been busy with some new designs, I'll post a few pics of those soon.

In the meantime my garden is in full bloom and looking lovely, how relaxing it is to spend the balmy evenings sitting in the garden with a glass of Rose and enjoying the evening scents of warm earth, clove scented pinks, jasmine, snaps, rosemary and the soft scent of roses warmed by the day's sunshine........a perfect evening in an English country garden!

A few pics from my garden for you to enjoy.....

My New Display Rack

Hello, Here as promised is a piccie of my new display rack, it was a lot of work but enjoyable and I hope you'll agree, worth it!

ps sorry for the poor quality of the picture, I have a new camera and I'm still getting used to it!

A Crafty Weekend

It's Wednesday already but I thought some of you might be interested to know that on Saturday I went to my good friend Caz's house where she held a "Summer Stamp Camp". Caz is a Stampin' Up demonstrator and we had great fun making lovely things with Stampin' Up rubber stamps (visit Caz's blog for more details, the link is at bottom right)

I've been an avid card maker for many years and love using rubber stamps so I had a thoroughly enjoyable time surrounded by like minded ladies, ink, card and rubber!

I have also painted and antiqued a lovely display stand that Dad made for me from reclaimed pine to house some of my items that I sell on my website, and it will be ideal when I have a stall at fetes and fairs. I will upload a photo later so you can see it :)

I've also been busy creating some new designs, when I've finished them I'll show you some pics before I list them on the website.

Bye for now,

Tamsin x

The First Post!

Hello Friends,
Welcome to my blog :)
Here I will try to keep you informed of news about my crafting, my website and my gorgeous but mad cats!
Today on this rather dreary cold day in July I have been busy updating the website and my head is buzzing with new ideas for angels, heart hangers and Christmas - yes Christmas in July! Well it pays to think ahead they say and I know many fellow crafters start planning for Christmas in the Summer so I know I'm not alone in my madness!
My latest design is a wooden heart sign with a french shabby chic feel, ideal for gifts for friends, they'd make lovely wedding presents or of course, a lovely treat for yourself! I've made these in a selection of colours and a choice of sayings available from my website (see link on right)

This is my favourite one:

Well the cats are now pestering for their tea so I'm off to feed them and then get the hoover out to pick up all the fabric snips from today!
Brightest country blessings,
Tamsin x
